Tragic tale of a family seeking solace in refuge

A Welsh language story that follows the tragic journey of a family as they escape the devastation of their homeland to seek refuge in Europe.

The production aims to tackle young people’s perceptions of refugees is set to tour North Wales schools this month.

The cast, which includes the actors Melangell Dolma and Iwan Charles, and the musician Gethin Griffiths, spent time in North Wales schools during their research and development stage.

Named after the bird famed for its constant wagging tail and travelling around in large flocks, Sigl Di Gwt (Wagtail) tells the story of a family forced to flee their war-torn home in order to seek asylum.

Age 9 – 12

* Sigl-Di-Gwt (Wagtail) is the result of research and development with Ysgol Aberdaron pupils, and is based on the refugee crisis and people’s human rights.*
