HAMLETS

A free national creative project for 18 to 25 yr olds.

Hamlet is a young man or woman.
Leaving home for the first time.
Angry with what’s happening around them.
Grieving a loved one.
Questioning their own existence and everything about their world.

Working with the most dynamic theatre makers across Wales, this is a free opportunity to meet other people and create theatre that questions who Hamlet is today and what Hamlet means to YOU.

As your generation steps up all over the world… what do the young people of Wales have to say?

We’re running one of the national Hamlets Hubs alongside Theatr Clwyd, Wales Millennium Centre and the Riverfront Theatre & Arts Centre. In December we’re all coming together to make the biggest ensemble of young HAMLETS ever seen.

If you are 18-25, curious and passionate, join our Hamlets Hub this November.

DETAILS

In November we’ll be running local workshops in Menai Bridge (see below for exact dates), and then in early December all the hubs will gather in Cardiff (accommodation provided for North Wales attendees) for a weekend of sharing, developing and bouncing ideas off each other.

The ultimate aim of the Hamlets project is to explore the possibility of creating a Wales-wide piece of theatre that truly reflects what young people in Wales have to say.

ARE YOU ELIGIBILE?

Hamlets is open to anyone between 18 and 25 years old and living in Wales.
