DRYCH / Oct 2015

Cwmni’r Frân Wen presents a powerful new Welsh language drama starring Bryn Fôn and Gwenno Hodgkins.

Have you ever felt lost?

Like life’s on loop?

Forever repeating itself?

Have you ever asked yourself who you really are?

Written by Llyr Titus, Drych (mirror) is a play about two people on a barren wasteland, chatting diligently about the wonders and complexity of life. They talk about the things that they carry inside themselves – and of mirrors, flowers and cats.

From the darkest questions about man’s existence, to moments of laughter and humour – through Drych we get an intense and humorous reflection of their desperate journey to understand more about their existence.

Truly superb. I want to see this again.

  • Bryn Fôn

Bryn is one of Wales’ most recognised faces on screen and stage. He gained his Equity Card when he starred in the 1977 rock opera Dic Penderyn.

He had a blistering start to his big-screen career when his character made Katherine Hepburn cry in the film The Corn is Green, which was filmed in Betws-y-Coed and Ysbyty Ifan. He went on to star in S4C’s first ever film, Y Gosb.

He is probably most well-know for his role as Tecwyn Parry in the legendary TV series C’mon Midffild! and as Les in Talcen Caled.

  • Gwenno Hodgkins

She is recognised as one of Wales’ finest screen and stage actors.

Gwenno Hodgkins is probably best known for her work on C’mon Midffîld!, Gwlad yr Astra Gwyn and Sombreros – as well as her films Aderyn Papur… and Pigs Might Fly (1984), Re-inventing Eddie (2002) and Oed Yr Addewid (2002).
