AMRANT / August 2017
Street performance project to inspire Gwynedd visitors
Amrant is a pilot project which will introduce the Welsh language and culture to visitors to Gwynedd & Anglesey through artistic performances.
This will be achieved by working with 10 creative young people (17- 25 years old) and establishing a “pop up” theatre company that will deliver a range of performances over the summer months.
The name of this company?
The aim would be to “de mystify” the language and culture and present it as a unique resource which can be presented along with region’s other assets e.g. landscape, food and environment.
Frân Wen and Arloesi Gwynedd and Môn (Menter Môn) will mentor the young people over the weeks of summer.
